Source-first game creation
How an X post becomes a playable game
Playfold starts with context that already exists. Choose a post, let the product find a playable hook, build the short-session game, and continue through explicit controls the finished game supports.
- 01
Choose a source post
Open your X timeline and select Turn into game on the post you want to play.
The source post supplies the premise, people, tone, conflict, and context. Playfold starts from that shared context instead of asking you to write a game prompt.
- 02
Find the game hook
Playfold interprets the premise, people, tension, tone, and available media, then chooses a playable direction.
The default path is automatic. Optional bounded choices can steer the mechanic, pace, or round length without turning creation into a blank prompt box.
- 03
Build and validate
Generation assembles the objective, controls, feedback, art, and complete short-session loop.
Creation and publication stay separate. A generated result must remain playable and pass the existing public eligibility gates before it can enter Discover.
- 04
Play in the browser
Launch the game on desktop or mobile with no download or engine install.
Each public game opens on its own shareable page with the source context, game description, play surface, and the actions that resolved game supports.
- 05
Keep the source connected
Save, share, challenge, tune, or refold when the game supports those actions.
The public game keeps its source attribution visible. Follow-on actions remain explicit and capability-gated rather than promising controls a game does not support.
Context, not a blank box
The source remains part of the experience.
Public pages show the post that inspired each game and keep the game creator distinct from the source-post author. That provenance remains available for replay, reporting, and supported social actions.
